- During Summer School Holidays weekly bookings are Saturday to Saturday in Warren, Halcyon and Tarquol Cottages and Friday to Friday in Old Nog Cottage and Tarka’s Holt Log Cabin; all other times of the year arrival days are very flexible. All lettings commence at 3 pm on the day of arrival (No early check-in please, unless offered or agreed previously), and properties should be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure (No late check-out please unless offered or agreed previously). We regret we cannot allow the number of occupants to exceed the stated number, with the exception of one additional cot. (Max. age 24 months.)
- In the event you have to cancel your reservation, every effort will be made to re-let your cottage. If successful any monies received from re-letting the property will be refunded (less an administration charge of £50). If we are unable to re-let, you are liable for the full amount of the rental. We recommend you take out insurance in case of any cancellation.
- Rules for the safe use of the swimming pool by visitors to Stowford Lodge can be viewed below. Use of the swimming pool is conditional upon acceptance of these rules and for health and safety reasons, failure to comply may result in the withdrawal of use. The swimming pool is open April to October inclusive plus Christmas and New Year.
- We regret we cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to any car or its contents or the personal effects of the guests occupying the property and the use of all amenities at the property are entirely at the user’s risk and the use of all facilities at Stowford Lodge (including the swimming pool) are solely for our paying guests. Unfortunately charging of electric cars is prohibited at Stowford Lodge.
- Dogs are welcome by arrangement in Warren, Tarquol, Halcyon and Old Nog Cottages, on the understanding they are looked after in the proper manner. There is an additional charge of £25 per dog per week with a maximum of two dogs per cottage in Warren, Tarquol and Halcyon whilst Old Nog Cottage is allowed one dog; (all dogs must be fully house trained and over 12 months old). We regret that dogs are not allowed in Tarka’s Holt Log Cabin. Dogs must not be shut in the holiday accommodation unattended, and must not be allowed to sleep on the furniture. Stowford Lodge is surrounded by farmland, and therefore the strictest control will be required at all times. Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times except when they are exercised on the games field and all ‘doggy doos’ should be picked up and disposed of in the grey bins. Any damage caused by your pet will be the full responsibility of its owner.
- The hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it. All equipment, utensils, etc, must be left clean. The property should be left clean and tidy after your stay and in the same condition as on arrival.
- The provision of WIFI is available solely for use by guests of Stowford Lodge. All users agree to use the WIFI service for legal purposes only. Any abuse of this service or suspected illegal use will result in the service being withdrawn with immediate effect.

- The Laundry Room is closed but if you do have some essential washing/drying please text Rich on (07974771406) and it will be washed/dried for you at the price of £10/wash and £10/dry.
- all guests must book a designated slot to use the swimming pool by putting there cottage name on the chart which is located in the archway, only one family at a time, maximum of 6 people and they must vacate the pool on time. Families may only book one slot per day. The swimming pool is open April to October inclusive plus Christmas and New Year.
Terms and Conditions for use of Swimming Pool
- The pool is open for use from 9am to 9pm and only on a time table basis with booking via the chart in the archway, it is solely for the use of our paying guests; strictly one family at a time.
- All children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- No dogs are allowed in the pool room
- Glassware and crockery are not permitted in the pool room
- Diving, bombing or unnecessary splashing should be avoided
- No balls, wetsuits or body/surfboards are allowed in the pool room
- We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for accidents, injuries or health problems arising from the use of the swimming pool. Visitors use the pool entirely at their own risk. Report any faecal or sickness incidents immediately; children using nappies must use swimming nappies whilst using the pool.
- If necessary, we reserve the right to close the pool at any time and/or withdraw permission of use from an individual or group.
Terms and Conditions for use of Tarka’s Holt Log Cabin’s private Hot Tub.
Please be aware that the following conditions apply to all guests using the hot tub. Failure to do so, may result in its use being withdrawn for the duration of your stay.
- Shower or bathe before entering the hot tub. Please remove all sun lotions, fake tans or creams of any type before use and make sure feet are clean.
- All children under the age of 16 should be supervised whilst using the hot tub at all times. It is advised that children less than 5 years of age should not use the hot tub.
- The maximum number of people using the hot tub at any one time is 6. This number must not be exceeded.
- The use of the hot tub is exclusively for guests staying in Tarka’s Holt log cabin.
- Don’t drink excessive amounts of alcohol before entering the hot tub or during hot tub use.
- No glass or crockery is allowed in or around the hot tub. Please only use plastic.
- If pregnant, consult a physician before hot tub use, particularly in the first trimester.
- Do not use the hot tub when you have a tummy upset.
- Don’t swallow hot tub water or even get it into your mouth. Keep your head above water at all times.
- Please respect other guests whilst using the hot tub by keeping noise levels to a reasonable level.
- There should be no jumping into the tub or any fooling about.
- All four straps must be released from the clips before lifting off the lid.
- The lid should be put back onto the hot tub after use and clips securely fastened; please be aware that during changeovers the Hot Tub is emptied, cleaned re-filled and it will not be ready for use (up to temperature) until 8 am the following morning.
